Zoo park Beauval

The zoo park Beauval, is located fifteen kilometers from the house “La Serrerie”.
This zoo is ranked among the 5 most beautiful zoos in the world and with more than 35,000 animals from all continents, presents the greatest diversity of animal life in France. Some species are unique in our country and realy extraordinary: manatees, koalas, tree kangaroos, okapi, and the must see famous white tigers and lions.
In 2012 the Zoo Beauval welcomed Huan Huan and Yuan Zi, a pair of giant pandas, absolutely unique in France!

Opened in 2020, this exhibit is Beauval's latest development. It holds around 200 different species underneath a 1 hectare and 38 metre-tall dome. It lets in sunlight through a glass roof and it constantly heated to a temperature of 26 °C. Stars of the exhibit include the Pygmy hippopotamus, the Giant otter, the Harpy eagle and many more species. Soon to arrive at the dome is the Red-shanked douc langur, a species only found in one zoo in Europe and nowhere in North America.

At the ZooParc, you can also enjoy attractions featuring some of the site's residents. Birds have pride of place in "masters of the air", where birds of prey, owls, macaws and cockatoos fly above spectators' heads. During "the sea lion odyssey", these majestic creatures perform artistic routines to music in the aquatic amphitheatre.
